Welcome to the our online resource to bring awareness and community to local issues that impact us all.. We are a collective of concerned local residents who cherish the unique rural charm and small-town feel of our community. Our group has come together out of a shared concern over the recent directions being considered by the current Select Board and School Committee.
As residents of this town, we value the tranquility, close-knit community, and the balanced pace of life that have defined our home for generations. However, recent proposals suggest significant changes that threaten to alter the essence of our community. We fear these changes could lead to overpopulation, straining our essential resources such as police, fire, school systems, and water supply.
Our Mission:
- Preserve Our Rural Character: We strive to maintain the small-town atmosphere that makes our community special. We believe in thoughtful development that respects our history and environment.
- Ensure Resource Sustainability: With potential population growth, there is an inevitable increase in demand for our limited resources. We advocate for sustainable planning that ensures our police, fire, school, and water services are not overwhelmed.
- Promote Fiscal Responsibility: We are committed to preventing undue financial burdens on our residents. Any development should be financially sound and not impose excessive costs on the community.
- Foster Open Communication: Transparent dialogue between the community and our local government is crucial. We encourage inclusive discussions where all residents have a voice in decisions that impact our future.
